As an independent contactor Mary Carbonara has been providing full service public relations representation to performing arts clients throughout the Bay Area and Northern California since 1996.  She has managed successful campaigns for such clients as Margaret Jenkins Dance Company, Robert Moses' KIN, PUSH Dance Company, Jess Curtis/Gravity, Risa Jaroslow & Dancers, KUNST-STOFF arts, Company C Contemporary Ballet, Savage Jazz Dance Company, Committee on Black Performing Arts/Stanford University, Bad Unkl Sista, and the San Francisco Zen Center.  Mary began her public relations career in 1991 under the mentorship of David Landis at Landis Communications where she was Account Executive for clients such as ODC Dance, Joe Goode Performance Group, Committee to Restore the San Francisco Opera House, The Flood Building, Old Navy, and PIER 39, before moving on to obtain her M.F.A. in Dance at Mills College.  Later, while pursuing her own dance career, Mary worked with Jon Finck at Encore Communications, representing clients such as Smuin Ballet, Oakland Ballet, Oakland East Bay Symphony and many more.
