Mary Carbonara has been teaching for over 25 years, working with children, young adults, adult beginners and aspiring and seasoned professionals. She also teaches Pedagogy to the aspiring professionals in the Lines Ballet Training Program and creative movement to preschoolers at Noe Valley Nursery School and elementary school children at Miraloma and Sunnyside Elementary Schools in San Francisco. She founded Hamster Dance Academy, offering dance and creative movement instruction for children age 3 through 12, in 2013. Mary has taught on the faculties of San Francisco Ballet, ODC School, Shawl Anderson Dance Center, Mills College, San Jose State University, East Carolina University, and around the world, including New York, Chicago, Tallahassee, Tokyo and Kolkata, India.
